Driving up from VA & couldn't believe what we were seeing! Trees broken off about 3-4 ft up, just snapped off their tunks! Trees, branches, leaves, debris all over rte 684 & we were dead stopped while crews tried to drag the debris off the highway. We contemplated taking the Saw Mill North after crossing the Tappanzee - thank goodness we didn't as we later found out the road was CLOSED!! And we had to get to Boston/Cape Cod because Mom is in critical condition. We DID make it, & Mom is stabilized but still not eating. But, What an amazing storm!!!
